Description

We are looking for enterprise architects to join us! You will be fully blended with our client's engineering team, dedicated to crafting solutions that redefine fintech industry.

Our client is a financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a financial ecosystem for businesses, providing them with all the payment, banking, credit and business management tools they need to succeed.

What will you do

  • Translate product requirements into architectural documents and diagrams
  • Maintain architectural documents and ensure that are always up-to-date
  • Make architectural decisions with respect to any new feature to be added to the platform
  • Ensures that the architectural direction of the platform is in line with the strategic direction of the product
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for the team while setting a high bar for engineering quality
  • Develop and improve on processes and frameworks for product performance
  • Write high quality, testable, and performance code with high-security standards
  • Perform code reviews and ensure code efficiency and best practises
  • Responsible for the stability and reliability of the platform
  • Create and enforce processes that improve team's efficiency and productivity
  • Provide mentorship for young engineers

What will you need

  • Experience as a software architect or Lead Software Engineer is desirable
  • Experience in software development and coding in Java Programming Language
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High quality organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience with leading and building distributed / remote teams
