Red Hat OpenShift Application Administrator (Poland)

Description

We are seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Application Administrator to support an EU agency responsible for external border management and border security support based in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional IT experience
  • 3+ years in a similar role, with daily hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift applications, including deployment, troubleshooting, scaling, configuration, and operational support
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience managing OpenShift projects/namespaces, including quotas, limit ranges, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, and ConfigMaps
  • Strong experience with Routes, Services, Ingress, TLS termination, path-based routing, ExternalName, and API Gateway exposure patterns
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting application-level security controls, including Network Policies, Security Context Constraints, Pod Security Standards, and image signing/scanning
  • Experience with application monitoring, logging, and metrics using built-in OpenShift tooling, Prometheus, Grafana, and related observability practices
  • Strong experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Helm charts, OpenShift templates, YAML, and CI/CD pipelines for OpenShift applications
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Ansible and Python
  • Experience scaling and optimizing applications using Horizontal/Vertical Pod Autoscalers, probes, and resource requests/limits
  • At least one relevant certification, such as Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator or an internationally recognized equivalent
  • Very good English (B2 level or higher)

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Employment Type: This full-time, long-term role is available to EU citizens (or individuals with a valid EU work permit) and offered exclusively to independent contractors. For Greek candidates, we can provide support in establishing your freelance setup.
  • Location: This is a hybrid position in Warsaw, Poland. Candidates currently based in other EU countries will be required to relocate. Relocation costs are not covered.
  • Compensation: No fixed upper limit – we are prepared to make any ask work for the candidate who’s the right fit.
  • Working Days: Aligned with the standard work schedule in Poland.
