Description
We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to work on the development and ongoing improvement of a Java application for the Greek public sector. The role calls for strong Java skills and engineering capabilities, so if you have real technical depth and understanding, do not be concerned about a specific number of years on your CV.

Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, with expertise in either Spring or Java EE
- Proven experience with Quarkus
- Good command of JPA/Hibernate and relational databases
- Solid understanding of distributed architectures, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
- Proficiency with Git, Maven, and cloud platforms

WORK CONDITIONS
- Employment Type: We welcome both employees and freelancers (but won't consider subcontracting agencies). This is a full-time position for residents in Greece.
- Location: This is a hybrid role with required presence 1 day/week at offices in Kallithea, Athens.
- Compensation: ~€2,600 net × 14 months(= €3,200 gross/month + benefits) for employees, or €290 daily rate for freelancers.
