Description
We are seeking a Senior PHP Backend Engineer to join a project with an immediate start date.
The tech stack includes Symfony 6.4, PHP 8.2+, Doctrine ORM 2, MySQL, Stripe, Symfony Messenger, and GCP.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional PHP development experience
- 2+ years of production experience with Symfony 5.x / 6.x, including Symfony Messenger
- Strong Doctrine ORM 2 knowledge, including entities, repositories, DQL, associations, and migrations
- Experience with MySQL, including schema design, migrations, indexing, and basic query optimization
- Ability to design and build REST APIs
- Working knowledge of PHPUnit and/or Pest testing frameworks
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and conventional commits
- Laravel knowledge is a strong plus
- Knowledge of PHPStan, Pint, Duster, or Rector is a plus

WORK CONDITIONS
- Employment Type: We welcome both employees and freelancers (but won't consider subcontracting agencies). This is a full-time position for candidates residing in Greece.
- Location: During onboarding, you will work in a hybrid setup, with 2 days remote and 3 days on-site at offices in central Athens. After the onboarding period, the role may become fully remote.
- Working Days: Aligned with the standard Greek work schedule.
