Senior Product Owner (ServiceNow ITSM)

Description
We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner for ServiceNow ITSM to lead the implementation of assurance, fulfillment, and rollout processes in ServiceNow within a telecommunications environment.
This is an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of two 3-month extensions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and implementation of new features and platform enhancements, initially focusing on ITSM
- Provide recommendations on backlog prioritisation to DG’s internal Product Owner and technical teams
- Provide guidance on effective end-to-end processes and integrations, including ServiceNow–Jira handovers from L1/L2 support to L3 development
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to DG’s junior Product Owner
- Translate business and operational requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations regarding the work of the integration partner, particularly for assurance capabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner for ServiceNow ITSM, with a proven track record of driving enhancements on a live platform
- Deep practical knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management, including how these processes are configured and integrated within ServiceNow
- Ability to challenge requirements and proposed solutions, assess standard ServiceNow capabilities, and guide teams towards maintainable solutions
- Strong experience translating operational needs into actionable user stories, managing priorities and validating delivered functionality
- Strong understanding of Service Assurance and L1/L2/L3 support processes
- Excellent English
- Working knowledge of German is a plus
- Telecommunications experience is a plus

WORK CONDITIONS
- Employment Type: This is a full-time position available exclusively to independent contractors (freelancers).
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of two extensions (3 months per extension).
- Location: Remote.
- Compensation: 350-380€ daily rate, depending on seniority and relevant experience.
- Start Date: Immediate (in October).
- Working Days: Aligned with the standard working days and hours in Germany.
